ONE-TO-ONE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
Half a day / 4 hours / €340
My objective is to help you “open your mind”, so you can start seeing what is worth shooting, and how to move away from taking typical photos.
Is creating meaningful photography and learning to see "beyond the obvious" important for you?
Would you like your photos to attract attention?
If the answer is yes then join me in this one-to-one workshop to improve your skills in the street, reportage (event), and portrait photography. We can cover all of these or you can specify the areas you would like to focus on.
WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?
Whether you have just started in photography or you are an experienced/professional photographer, the workshop is customized to enhance your skills. It offers hands-on experience that will help you become better as a photographer.
If you are a beginner, I can make the journey easier for you by providing expert and clear guidance on camera settings (in easy terms), the phychology of a viewer, step by step shooting workflows, mistakes to avoid, how to be more confident in a photo shoot, how to take better photos of people and make them feel relaxed in front of a camera, how to create photos that attract attention by using the right composition techniques.
If you are a professional and you feel that you would like to improve your skills or learn new techniques, or you feel stuck in your career, this workshop would give you a new perspective and some techniques you may not have encountered before.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
We will learn and practice simple techniques which would help you in:
- developing an ability of seeing beyond the obvious;
- having better control of your camera; and
- moving away from creating typical photos.
The workshop is a mix of techniques aimed to improve skills in street, reportage (event) and portrait photography. I can customise it based on what you want to focus on.
WHAT WE WILL COVER:
- Camera controls in simple terms and how to get better control of your camera. We can skip it if you already know how to use your camera.
STREET PHOTOGRAPHY: how to
- shoot in different lighting conditions;
- create photos that do not look typical;
- be confident when taking photos of people;
- develop ability of seeing beyond the obvious;
- take advantage of different types of lighting;
- shoot taking psychology of a viewer into consideration;
- build composition to make photos look more attractive;
- approach location like a pro and choose a shooting position like a sniper;
- create conditions for a good shoot rather than hoping to “catch a moment”;
- be “here and now” when photographing something that is happening “here and now”; and
- treat any location as a “stage” and incorporate people as “actors” in your photos ("All the world is a stage” (W. Shakespeare).
PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY: how to
- talk with a person you photograph in such a way that creates emotions,
- be more confident when photographing people; and
- help people feel relaxed in front of a camera.
As a bonus, I will create a few photos of you in action. I will send them to you a few days after the workshop, to help you keep a good memory.
